Pamela VanHaitsma

Associate Director

VanHaitsma is an Assistant Professor in Communication Arts and Sciences. Bridging rhetoric, the archive, and gender and sexuality studies, her research investigates nineteenth-century rhetorical education and queer rhetorics. Along these lines, her forthcoming book project is a queer history of instruction in epistolary rhetoric. Also in her scholarship, she explores the rhetoric of (digital) archives as repositories of information. Her work has appeared in journals such as Rhetoric Society Quarterly, College Composition and Communication, and Rhetoric Review, among others.
